Maths week Day1 challenge for Year9

Kia Orana students,

Welcome to the year9 Maths Week Competition Day1!

We are excited to run a student competition again this year as a part of Maths Week for the year 9 students.

This competition will be run Monday to Thursday and each day there will be different challenges for you to answer. Every day the correct answers go into a draw for prizes/house points. Winners will be announced on Friday during the house assembly.

Attached is the first set of questions; please give them a go in Mentor time or any time when you have spare a few minutes. Send the answers via email or blog link to david@tamaki.ac.nz

Here are the rules:

·   There are four separate competitions, one at each level from Monday to Thursday.

·  write your name/Surname, Whanau , Day (1 or 2 or 3 or4) and maths teacher.

·     Only one entry per person.

·      Entries close at 3pm.

·     Calculators are permitted.

·  You need to email the answers via email/Blog link to  david@tamaki.ac.nz.
